After a crazily busy week,I finally had the time to paint my nails the shade of red I had been craving for a while:

Doesn't show up particularly well here. This is Butter's glittery red (which I think looks like one of those sparkly drumkits, only for nails). I love it, although it chips prettily easily even with two coats of topcoat.

After seeing some jackets with feathery shoulders recently - much like Brandon Flowers of The Killer's jacket he always seems to wear for shows now - I've been wondering if I should break out my vintage black feather bolero for everyday use. Maybe for a day to London at christmas if I'm feeling adventurous?

Alsoalsoalso, I have finally acquired a coat. Now there is a story behind this. In July, I went on a lets-look-at-things-we'll-never-afford shopping trip to London with a friend. In Burberry, I tried on a navy trench coat, and, well...

Obviously the one on the far right is me. I've cut my hair drastically since then.

'Walter', who is rather talented with those computer-type things, did this for me. After looking for a similar coat on Ebay for, like, FOREVER, I finally found one which lives up to requirements. No pictures as of yet, but soon, I promise!

For the next two weeks I'm in a musical of Alice Through The Looking Glass which should make for many interesting outfits, especially as I play a prostitute in one scene. Yay for red lipsticks, short puffy dresses and feather boas. Hence I might be slightly busy - and therefore neglect my writing duties - but only temporarily. Promise.

Sparkly like sequins

Yes, this is the queue for jimmy choo. I think I may have been just slightly overoptimistic about the whole thing.

But hey, I had a good time regardless. Three and a half hours in a snaky line of choo-obsessed souls is good chatting time, and once they had opened the doors to the public (we weren't in time to get a 'bracelet'. Which, fyi, were actually ordinary wristbands. I knew it) I fought my way to the shelves and tried on the rather sexy snakeskin effect brogues, only to find they didn't fit my weird bony heels and ankles. C'est la vie.

Found some black sequinned shorts in Topshop to console myself. I've been looking for some for a while, after getting this top from Lazy Oaf when it was on sale and seeing the picture.

I love these red shorts, but couldn't find any sadly. Mine are black, but the shape of them make up for it. Baggy and almost pleated, they remind me of the culottes you wore at Brownies. Plus as they are a little large, I can wear them high waisted with opaque tights.

I also picked up a blazer. Blazers and sequins are right up there at the moment, believe me. This feels terribly shallow as they are big this season, but I have always loved sparkly things like sequins. As for blazers - well, I'm not a big fan of coats, and blazers are warm enough that you can go without one. This one was black and white stripes, jailbird style, with these cutesy little heart shaped buttons. The buttons almost made up for the shoes. Almost. Ebay, here I come...

Well I know I'm excited

Now, I am what you could call a 'shoe girl'. Always have been, always will. The right pair of shoes gives me a shivery feeling inside until they are MINEMINEMINE and clutched tightly in my hands as I walk down the street in a smug and sprightly manner.

Tomorrow is the day - the Jimmy Choo collection at H&M will finally be available to drool over. My rather lovely mother is taking me early to a shop where we have to queue for wristbands to shop - these shoes get the prestige they deserve. And the first thing that entered my head? How I will keep the wristband on for as long as possible. Because of course shoes are waaaaayy cooler than any lame wristband from a concert or something, obviously.

Here is what the date has been bookmarked in my diary for:

These are technically for men, but I'm sure I could walk in a size 7 if i tried.

I just bought some brogues, but you can never have too many...right?

Yum. I'll let you know how the whole wristband experience goes (I checked, and they're calling it a 'bracelet'. Just proves how classy they are, huh?), hopefully with pictures of the ACTUAL SHOES on my ACTUAL FEET. Wayhey.

Good morning, fashion!

So. Here we are. Inspired by the seemingly endless amount of fashion blogs which seem to be flying round the internet at the moment, I thought I'd add my little contribution to the melting pot.

I've been reading even more about fashion than usual lately, as in hungrily devouring freshly published pictures and articles. I don't have as much time as I'd like to devote to it, but as none of my (clearly mad) friends are really into fashion, thought I'd share my views up here. And there you go. The not-so-exciting story of how this blogging thing started.

Enjoy!
